A trattoria style Italian restaurant,
Capricciosa serves a savory blend of Southern Italian
and Oriental cuisines. Capricciosa was established
in 1977 in Tokyos Shibuya by Masaaki Honda,
who graduated from the National Culinary Academy
of Italy with honors. In 1985, WDI partnered with
Mr. Honda to open and develop additional restaurant
locations. The restaurant soon became widely popular
and today boasts over 150 locations visited by over
12 million customers yearly throughout Japan, Hawaii,
Guam, Saipan, and Taiwan.
The secret of Capricciosa's popularity is in the
hand-made special sauces created from an imported
Italian tomato base, as well as the generous portions.
Fresh pasta, served in large bowls, are enveloped
in an abundance of tasty sauces which infuse the
pasta with extra flavor and character. Offering
more than pasta and pizzas, Capricciosa also serves
tempting appetizers and salads, along with fish,
poultry and meat dishes.
